After Copenhagen turned back to normal and the Eurovision stars left Denmark to go back home about one month ago, it’s time to think about the future. There will always be another Contest – and as stunning Conchita Wurst won the Eurovision crown this year, all Europe will be invited to Austria in 2015. As you can never start preparing for the Contest early enough, Norway and broadcaster NRK have already opened the submissions for Melodi Grand Prix 2015 to find the next Norwegian Eurovision entry.
Siegel for Germany – maybe…not!
There is quite some pressure on the next artist to represent Norway. Carl Espen performed an incredibly touching “silent storm” on stage in Copenhagen and ended up with place 8. Norway is definitely one of the fastest countries to prepare for next year’s competition, whereas in Germany for instance there haven’t been any plans announced yet. Though Eurovision dinosaur Ralph Siegel, who finally made it to the final with San Marino – however this could have happened -, announced or threatened some future plans concerning the German entry. One of his biggest dreams would be to participate in the Contest representing Germany one more time… We can only hope that this dream will never ever ever come true!
